Council is seeking applications for two Plant Operators to be enthusiastic, productive and reliable members of the Works section. Primarily, the successful applicants will be required to operate a front-end loader, roller and tractor slasher/broom, however, they may be required to operate other types of plant for which they are qualified.

About the position

In addition to operating plant (with required licences/tickets) the Plant Operator will ensure materials, plant and labour are being utilised efficiently on Council works. This position will involve performing other duties which contribute to the effectiveness of Council’s operations (e.g., labouring, operation of other plant for which the position holder is qualified). The Plant Operator will ensure all servicing and maintenance of plant is performed and is consistent with the manufacturer’s recommendations.

The gross fortnightly wage for this position is $2,601.30 exclusive of applicable allowances and overtime.
