Bring your HR Licence and join our Concrete Agi Truck Driver team. With the construction of the Sydney Tunnels in full swing, Heidelberg Materials Australia are looking to increase our Agitator Driver team to help support these projects. These positions will be based out of the Pyrmont and Greenacre Concrete Plants. You may already have experience in driving a concrete agitator truck, or you have driven a different type of HR vehicle and looking for a change and better job security. Then this is a great opportunity for you. About the role: Most days will start between 4am and 6am and drivers can do up to 12 hours per day. Flexibility is a must as start and finish times can vary. We pay a base rate of $31.03 - $32.56 per hour and once you go past your regular hours in one day the first two after that will be at time and a half. If you do more than 2 hours overtime in a day, you go to double time.
Meal allowances are generally paid after 10 hours in one shift Day and Night Shift positions available We provide cutting edge technology to not only keep you safe whilst driving, but also to help you map your routes and keep track of your loads All new starts go through a 10-day training program before we let you loose by yourself About you: Minimum of HR license and a valid Construction White Card (essential) with previous driving experience (preferred) You are an excellent communicator and are confident following and giving clear instructions in person and over UHF radio. You will be required to wear a Versaflo full face respirator at all times while working in the tunnels, even while inside the truck, so confined spaces don’t bother you. You will be comfortable using technology and navigating your way through the busy Sydney streets. You take pride in the appearance of your truck. Keep it clean, give it a wash and present the best image of our company.
You are a mobile billboard and people notice a dirty truck. Able to pass a pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol test (random testing is also conducted on all HMA sites) Some of our trucks have driver weight limits on their seats and seatbelts.
