Water & Wastewater Engineer – Full-time

Council is seeking a qualified and experienced professional to coordinate and execute a number of defined critical asset management projects and initiatives in support of achieving reliable and efficient services.

The primary purpose of the position is to investigate and support all aspects of engineering works such as design, construction, maintenance, project planning and project management of water and wastewater. There is some consideration of possibly including engineering works relative to solid waste management into this role.

Qualifications and Experience

• The applicant will hold a Degree in Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related field and/or significant Water/Wastewater industry experience.
• Conditions of employment are in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award.
• Prior to commencement, the successful applicant will be required to undergo a Drug and Alcohol screening as part of a Functional Assessment.

Salary and Conditions

• A salary in the Grade range of 12 to 15 in Council’s salary system ($77,079 - $101,353pa) will be negotiated with the successful candidate based on qualifications, skills and experience
• 11.5% superannuation
• 70 Hours per fortnight
• A monthly Rostered Day Off is included
