The Role

As the City’s Team Leader – Street Cleaning you will ensure street cleaning operations are completed safely, efficiently, and effectively.

In this varied role, you will:

• Be responsible for supervision of street cleaning operators
• Be responsible for ensuring the routine servicing and maintenance of plant occurs
• Deliver excellent customer service
• Regularly audit systems and procedures
• Conduction inspections, analyse and report on the effectiveness of street cleaning operations
• Be responsible for compliance with all Occupational Health and Safety Regulations.

This position is based at our Adam Street Depot, Golden Square and works a 9 day fortnight with a start time of 5 am and finish time of 2pm with rostered weekend early morning street cleaning works.       

About You

As the successful candidate you will have:

• Relevant experience and experience with safe and competent operation of heavy vehicles with a mechanical aptitude
• Working knowledge of occupational health and safety requirements and environmental management techniques
• Ability to operate as an effective team member and member of the leadership team with proven skills and experience in supervision of employees
• Ability to work within time critical delivery and works timelines
• Good communication, interpersonal and time management skills

A current driver’s licence with Heavy Rigid Endorsement and satisfactory police check is required for this position.
