General Hand (Roads)

The Shire of Morawa is seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join our Works and Services team in the role of General Hand – Road Construction.

This role involves assisting with the construction and maintenance of roads and other civil infrastructure within the Shire. Duties include operating plant and equipment, manual labouring tasks, and supporting the works crew with the delivery of the annual works program.

To be considered for this position, applicants must have:

• A current minimum HC (Heavy Combination) driver’s licence
• Previous experience in road construction and maintenance (preferred)
• Ability to work in a team environment and follow directions
• Basic knowledge of worksite safety practices and procedures
• White Card (Construction Safety Awareness)

Conditions of Employment:

• This is a permanent full-time position.
• The successful applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol screening, and provide National Police Clearance.
