About the Role
The Engineering Surveyor will work collaboratively with the Project Delivery department and other teams to provide effective and efficient survey services.
This position is to assist undertaking surveys for roads, drainage assets, water assets, sewerage and other engineering projects within Council.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provision of survey, level and location information for Council's assets
• Set out and as-constructed surveys of roads, water, sewerage, buildings, bridges and other physical infrastructure
• Provision of survey information and advice in relation to the region’s physical infrastructure on request
• Maintenance and filing of land survey plans.
About you
You have qualifications or experience working in a similar role in a medium to large organisation and a demonstrated ability to produce accurate set out, detail surveys, plans and other documentation for civil & building works. You have understanding of current survey practices, software, instrumentation and a well developed knowledge of GIS and GNSS. Additionally, you have the ability to interpret and apply Council Policies, Local Laws and relevant statutory requirements.
A Degree in Engineering Survey, or eligibility for registration with the Surveyors Board of Queensland is desirable.
