We are seeking reliable and compassionate female Disability Support Workers to join our team and provide high-quality care to individuals with disabilities. As a support worker, you will assist clients with daily living activities, personal care, medication assistance, and more.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care and support with daily activities
  • Assist with medication management and daily routines
  • Support clients with manual handling, including proficiency with sling hoists
  • Bowel care support (training provided, including use of suppositories, enemas, and digital stimulation)
  • Catheter care (training provided, including monitoring, cleaning, and ensuring proper function)
  • Conduct skin checks and assist with passive exercises as needed
  • Provide community access support (including use of disability taxis)
  • Ensure client safety, comfort, and dignity at all times
  • Adapt to each client’s individual needs and preferences
Requirements:
  • Female support workers only (due to client preferences)
  • NDIS and Working with Children Clearance
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificate 
  • Current driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Previous experience or a willingness to learn and provide the essential care practices mentioned (training will be provided)
  • Ability to use manual handling techniques and assist with sling hoists
  • Ability to work with clients requiring bowel care, catheter care, and skin checks
  • Reliable and adaptable to meet the needs of clients
Shift Times:
  • Shifts will vary depending on client needs, including day and evening hours. These will consist of 2 -3 hour shifts in the morning and afternoon and evening.
  • Flexibility is important as shifts may change based on client requirements.

  • Female support workers are preferred, and we are looking for individuals with a good sense of humor and the ability to build positive rapport with clients.
