Female Disability Support Worker (Casual Role– Geelong Region)
We are currently seeking a compassionate and capable Female Disability Support Worker to provide consistent, person-centred support to six NDIS participants across the Geelong area, including St Albans Park, Lara, Norlane, and Belmont. Clients have a range of needs, including Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), Intellectual Disability, Spinal Cord Injury, and chronic pain conditions.
Shifts Available:
Tuesdays & Wednesdays (10am–3pm) – St Albans Park
Fridays (9am–1:30pm) – St Albans Park
Mondays (10am–2pm & 2:30pm–4:30pm) – Lara
Tuesdays (3:30pm–7:30pm) – Norlane
Thursdays (2:30pm–5:30pm) – Belmont
Key Client Needs Include:
Support with gym visits, appointments, shopping, hobbies, and social outings
Understanding of behavioural triggers and de-escalation strategies (particularly for ABI)
Assistance with planning, routine management, light domestic tasks, and community participation
Friendly, clear communication—essential for clients with speech or cognitive impairments
Requirements:
Female support worker preferred due to client requirements
Previous experience in disability or community support roles preferred
Excellent interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence
Ability to work independently and adapt to individual client needs
Required Credentials:
NDIS Workers Screening Check
Working with Children Check
First Aid and CPR certificate
Certificate III or IV in individual support, disability or equivalent
Australian driver's license and your own fully insured vehicle (A MUST)
