We're seeking dedicated Disability Support Workers to join our caring team in in Newcastle but moving to Elermore Vale.  This role is supporting a male client with a spinal cord injury. If you’re passionate about person-centred care and thrive in meaningful, hands-on roles — this opportunity is for you!

Your Role:
Empowering Independence, Every Day You’ll play a vital role in your client’s life, supporting both his daily needs and overall wellbeing with empathy, professionalism, and respect.

What You’ll Be Doing:
✅ Personal care & hygiene assistance
✅ Bowel & catheter care (experience essential)
✅ PEG feeding & medication management
✅ Meal preparation and shared companionship

Please note all shifts listed under position 1 or position 3 must be completed in full by the same support worker, we cannot swap or amend the roster.

Casual line 1
42 hours per fortnight
  
Week 1
  • Monday 19:00 to 22:00pm - 3 hours
  • Wednesday 6:00am to 14:30pm - 8.5 hours
  • Friday 22:00pm to 8:00am - 10 hours
  • Saturday 19:00 to 22:00pm - 3 hours
  • Sunday 19:00pm to 22:00pm - 3 hours  
Week 2 
  • Wednesday 6:00pm to 14:30pm - 8.5 hours
  • Friday 19:00pm to 22:00pm - 3 hours
  • Sunday 19:00pm to 22:00pm - 3 hours

What You’ll Need:
  • Previous experience with spinal cord injury support (including bowel and catheter care) — essential
  • First Aid & CPR certification (or proof of upcoming training)
  • Valid driver's licence + vehicle with comprehensive insurance
  • NSW Working With Children Check – Employee
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check – Employee
  • Completion of NDIS Quality, Safety and You module
�� Casual Pay Rates (SCHADS Award – Home Care Employee Level 3.1 - includes 25% loading):
Day: $33.96/hr
Afternoon: $37.36/hr
Active night: $38.04/hr
Saturday: $47.55/hr
Sunday: $61.13/hr
Public Holiday: $74.72/hr
