Are you a passionate early years leader ready to shape the future of kindergarten education? The City of Ballarat is seeking a dedicated Coordinator of Kindergarten Children’s Services to lead quality improvement, innovation, and excellence across our growing portfolio of kindergarten services. 

In this pivotal role, you will work alongside the Manager Integrated Children’s Services to ensure the delivery of high-quality, compliant, and child-focused programs. As a leader within our Early Years Management (EYM) structure, you will support continuous improvement, pedagogy, professional development, and the successful implementation of sector reforms. 

About the Role: 

  • Leading and supporting our kindergarten teams to deliver excellence under the National Quality Framework. 
  • Driving the implementation of key programs, reforms, and projects including School Readiness Funding and infrastructure planning. 
  • Facilitating professional learning, networks, and pedagogical leadership. 
  • Building strong community partnerships and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Contributing to strategic planning, reporting, and quality improvement across the kindergarten portfolio. 
  • Championing a child-safe culture and inclusive, high-quality education. 

What You’ll Bring: 

  • Tertiary qualifications in Early Childhood Education in accordance with National Regulations. 
  • In-depth knowledge of the National Quality Framework, Early Years Learning Framework, and sector policy. 
  • Proven leadership experience and ability to build capability across diverse teams. 
  • Strong project management, planning, and stakeholder engagement skills. 
  • A commitment to child safety, family-centred practice, and community connection.
