Tourism and Events Officer

POSITION SUMMARY

The Tourism and Events Officer is responsible for supervising a team that delivers exceptional visitor services and fosters positive interactions between visitors and the local community.

This role plays a crucial part in enhancing the overall visitor and tourism experience by ensuring high-quality service delivery, efficient operational management, and continuous improvement in service standards.

The Tourism and Events Officer supports and actively participates in event planning and the delivery of the Shire events, under the direction of the Tourism Manager.

This role focuses on supporting Council and community events with the aim of operational excellence that directly impacts our reputation as a welcoming and visitor-friendly destination. The role also supports with the collation of data and reporting as required, to inform continued improvements in tourism activities.
